These auto-tie horizontal balers provide an automated approach to baling material through a horizontal press. Material is automatically tied at the end of each bale, providing a highly efficient solution for increased capacity baling needs.
The auto-tie baler should be considered when production requirements exceed 150 tons/month. Auto-tie horizontal balers are ideal for distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, mid to large size recycling and material recovery facilities (MRFs), and mid to large size printers.

In the high grade paper and OCC recycling environments, your horizontal baler can make the difference between marginal production and great success. The horizontal autotie balers from Harris offer innovative features designed for optimum performance and increased durability.
Performance-based features include a unique design which maximizes baling speed and thru-put, an optional lid feature to increase tonnage capacities without increasing horsepower requirements, and a large hopper opening to
accommodate conveyor-fed operations. The highest level of process customization, diagnostics, and production status motoring is made simple through the use of programmable logic controllers. The need for a baler operator has been virtually eliminated. The hydraulically-actuated wire tying
capability ensures simplicity, ease of adjustment, and long component life.

THE EXCLUSIVE DESIGN
The Horizontal Auto-Tie Hinged Side baler provides the widest charge box opening available and has an unparalleled production rate. Pre-conditioning is not necessary for most paper grades while producing excellent bale density.
The wide charge box opening virtually eliminates bridging of bulky recyclables. The action of the hinged sidewall compresses the material in two directions producing final bale densities which are much greater than machines with
comparable main cylinder sizes.
The unique hinged sidewall eliminates approximately 75% of the shearing required by other balers. The reduction of hydraulic shock increases the life of the hydraulic system and lowers electrical cost.
